Does Hugtab cost anything?

Hugtab is currently free to use for personal and commercial work. Hugtab is proprietary software. Current free availability does not promise that every future offering will remain free.

Which browsers are supported?

The browser app is available, but Hugtab has not published a formal browser support matrix. Compatibility can vary by browser version and available storage. Keep independent backups of important work.

Does the browser app need internet access?

Yes, to load Hugtab and its calculation runtime. Workbook operations then run locally in your browser. Read Getting started for details.

Where are browser workbooks stored?

Workbooks are stored for the browser profile and site address where you created them. Clearing site data or browser storage eviction can remove them. Hugtab does not provide account sync or a server copy. See Storage and backups.

Do multiple tabs share live changes?

No. Each open tab has its own workbook session. A newly opened tab can load the latest completed snapshot, but already open tabs do not synchronize edits. See independent tabs.

Can I move workbooks to another device?

Download a full workbook backup and restore it in the other browser profile. A backup is separate from CSV or XLSX exports. Keep a copy outside browser storage.

Does Hugtab preserve every Excel feature?

No. XLSX import is intended for tabular data and supported formulas, not for faithfully reproducing Excel documents, macros, merged cells, or every formula. Review import and export limitations.

Are desktop apps available?

Desktop installers are not currently published. The download page will list them when public signed releases are available. The browser app is available now.

See Support for troubleshooting and current reporting options. Do not include private workbook data in a report.
